Although many of my favorite recipes are right here on this blog, sometimes I like to handwrite recipe cards to gift when I share my homemade recipes with others. This adds a special touch that makes the gift feel even more thoughtful.
I wanted to create some simple, printable recipe card templates with a delicate, vintage-style design that I could print out and keep on hand for gifting.
These PDF files have charming little designs, like fresh berries and flowers, to soften the modern design details. You can either print out all of them or pick one to use as your signature design!

I wanted to make these free recipe templates as practical as possible, so I included these specific features:

These details should give you plenty of space to add any information you need and if you need more room, the entire back is blank.
How to Use This Free Recipe Card Template
- First, open and download the printable farmhouse templates.
- Place cardstock into your printer tray and print as many copies as you’d like. If you only want to use one of the free printable recipe card templates, select that individual page in your printer settings.
- Trim the recipe cards to size using a paper cutter.
- Handwrite the recipe details and store, gift, or use as desired!

These cards are designed to by 4×6 inches. Each printed page has 2 recipe cards.
Tips for Printing
The recipe cards are delivered as a PDF, which can be printed very easily.
I recommend using cardstock, which is sturdier and can withstand frequent use better than regular paper. I like to use kraft brown or white cardstock, which both look good with the different designs.
Print at the highest print quality for the clearest images.
After printing, I recommend cutting out the cards with a handled paper cutter instead of scissors. This is faster and easier!
Although I tried to keep the individual recipe cards as consistent as possible, I don’t recommend cutting multiple pages of different designs at once, as the cards may be positioned slightly differently on each page. It’s okay to cut multiple copies of the same page at once.
