Ready to give your homemade vanilla extract as a gift? Grab these free printable vanilla extract labels to share with all your friends and family!

I’ve been making my own vanilla extract for over a decade now, and will never go back.
But, as someone with about a million kitchen projects going on at once, I don’t always label my bottles.
This leads to some interesting sniff tests to figure out what I made when…which is one of the reasons why I wanted to make these labels.
Not only is it just good practice to keep track of the start day of your infusion, it’s also so helpful to note the type of alcohol and vanilla beans you use.
If you enjoy making different types of vanilla with various beans and alcohols, you’ll definitely get a lot of use out of these little labels!

How to Use my Free Printable Vanilla Extract Labels
I’ve included the labels in The Cozy Kitchen Guide to Vanilla Extract, which is a free ebook available to email subscribers.
In it, I go over how to make vanilla extract, how different alcohols affect the flavor, and even what to do with leftover vanilla beans.
At the end, I share my vanilla label template as well as printable pages.

Printing Tips
So after making and sharing lots and lots of free labels and tags on my blog, I’ve found that it is often much easier and more effective to share the label graphic instead of simply formatting a sticker page.
This allows you to adjust the size (2×2 in to 3×3 inch square), choose your favorite type of sticker paper, and upload the graphic directly to the printing software (like Avery).
- Since vanilla extract is a little oily, I do recommend using waterproof or oil-resistant labels and have added some options to my Amazon Storefront.
- If you don’t have sticker paper, you can print out the labels on cardstock and either mod podge, glue, or tape them on, but just keep in mind they won’t be super sturdy.
- Another option is to add a hole and tie them to your bottles or jars with a little twine. Great in a pinch!
