Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan, filling the corners to get an even layer.
Sprinkle the cardamom sugar over top in an even layer.
2 tsp cardamom sugar
Bake for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
Let the blondies cool for about 10-20 minutes in the pan, then lift the sides of the parchment paper. Slice and serve.
Notes
Once the bars are cool, store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. If you don't have cardamom extract, use regular vanilla extract and add up to 1 tsp of ground cardamom to the bars. Use regular white sugar to sprinkle on top (recommended for a crispy crunch).
