This strawberry top infused vinegar has a fresh berry flavor and natural sweetness, ideal for summer salads and beverages. It's a great way to use up those scraps when making strawberry jam, too!
1cuprice wine vinegarunseasoned; or white wine vinegar
Instructions
Combine clean strawberry tops and vinegar in a glass jar. Seal and shake well.
Store in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks. You can keep it on the counter, but I recommend storing it in the fridge to keep it fresh. Shake often and keep out of direct sunlight.
Once the vinegar has a strong enough flavor, strain out the strawberry tops using a fine mesh strainer and transfer to a glass jar or bottle.
Store in the fridge (recommended) for up to several months and use as desired.
Notes
The actual ratios are very flexible. I typically just cover the strawberries with vinegar. Don't overthink it!
