Ingredients
For the Simple Syrup
1cupfresh strawberriesdiced
1cuprhubarbdiced; fresh or frozen
1cup water
1cupsugar
For Lemonade
2-3cupswater
1cuplemon juice
Instructions
Prepare the strawberry rhubarb simple syrup. To do so, combine the sugar, water, strawberries, and rhubarb together in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it bubble and steep for about 15-20 minutes. Then, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool to room temp. Use a fine mesh sieve to strain mixture).
Add the water, syrup, and lemon juice in a large pitcher or half-gallon mason jar. Stir well to incorporate.
Adjust the amount of water to taste. For a milder, less tart lemonade, add more water.

Garnish with extra berries, fresh mint or lemon balm, or edible flowers.The syrup can be refrigerated for up to 1 week before you make a batch of lemonade.
