Cardamom Extract Recipe
Herby and spicy in all the right ways, this cardamom extract recipe is the perfect way to add an aromatic flavor to any recipe!
Equipment
- 1 half-pint jar
Ingredients
- 8 oz vodka
- 1 tbs cardamom pods
Instructions
- Fill the half-pint jar with vodka.
- Add the cardamom pods.
- Close the jar and shake to combine.
- Store in a cool dry place and shake daily for 2-3 days.
- On the third day, strain out the cardamom pods and store the extract in an airtight bottle or jar.
- Use as desired.

- A little goes a long way! If you're using this cardamom extract to replace vanilla extract in a recipe, you might want to add half as much.
- To help the alcohol draw out even more flavor, you can also crush open the pods using a mortar and pestle.
