Skip the trip to the store and make your own homemade pumpkin puree! It’s easy once you know how to roast a whole pumpkin.

INGREDIENTS

- One whole pumpkin - A little oil (optional) - Salt (optional)

Start by washing and drying your pumpkin, then slicing it into halves and removing the seeds and stringy bits.

How to ROAST A whole pumpkin

Poke holes into the pumpkins with a sharp knife or fork. Place the pumpkins on the baking sheet with the outside up.

Let the pumpkin cool and peel away the skin on the outside to leave just the soft, cooked flesh.

Blend in a food processor until nice and smooth. You're all ready to start baking!
